march thirty one: a travelling haiku

On occassion I like to write haiku. I wrote this poem (today) on the way back home across the very flat land of Indiana. As I looked out of the window at the various creeks, strams, and farmland, I could see that lots of water was still standing from the rain from the previous two days. As I took the time to look out of the window, I thought, Hmmm, wouldn’t it be nice if we all, took the time to look and experience the “scenery” on the way to all of our destinations in life, especially for those who become famous and maybe forget about the little people or small things in life that helped them along the way. Here is “downstream”:

downstream (3-6-2011)
travelling downstream
you get to see the things you missed
on the way to fame
