Well, I made it, it’s the last day of April and I have written a poem for each day. I took on the 30 poems in 30 days challenge from the National Poetry Writing Month website, http://www.NaPoWriMo.net and I’ve officially celebrated National Poetry Month as all poets should. Thanks for following along and I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much as I have! Here’s my last poem for April:

Focus (written based on the writing prompt, re-write a fairy tale. see if you can guess which fairy tale it is.)
there will always be someone who thinks
they can out run you
out talk you
and out smart you
but if you slow down
take the time to learn all you can
take the time to read
and pay attention
practice patience
use your GPS
take your time
and pray
you will surely leave them
in the dust

haiku for busy-bodies (definition of a busybody (noun): people who “buzz” around other people, avoiding work at their own job, but like to get their nose into what you are doing and try to tell you what to do. they are very influenced by others who can easily tell them what to do to try to get in your way for no apparent reason.)
please stay in your lane
when you don’t do your job
I’m not quitting soon
